Anders Daae
Blant NSFs mange utenlandsboende medlemmer har norskættede ingeniør Anders Daae i mange år vært særdeles aktiv innenfor nederlandsk og spesielt kirkelig heraldikk. For sin innsats knyttet til utforming av geistlige våpen for den nederlandske romersk-katolske kirkeprovins, ble han nylig utmerket med «St. Sylvesterordenens kors» av Dr. W. Eijk, electus ved erkesetet i Utrecht. Daae er tidligere utnevnt til medlem av ordenen «Oranje-Nassau» for sitt bidrag innen nederlandsk heraldikk.

Papal honour for Ir Anders Daae
On 11 January 2008, Ir Anders Daae received the Cross of the Order of Saint Sylvester, conferred upon him by the Archbisshop-elect of Utrecht, Mgr Dr W. Eijk.
In addition to the chairmanship of the Advisory Organ, «Consulentschap» for Heraldry in the Province of Groningen and that of the Heraldry Department of the Netherlands Genealogical Association, Ir Daae has also been of great service in the domain of Ecclesiastical Heraldry.

In conjunction with the relevant prelates, he has been largely responsible for the fact that coats of arms which he designed for the dioceses of the Archbishopric, the Nederlandse Rooms Katholieke Kerkprovincie (Dutch Roman Catholic Ecclesiastical Province) have been allocated, by Royal Decree, a place in the register administered by the Hoge Raad van Adel (Supreme Council of Nobility). With this recognition, a specific shortcoming in this domain of the restoration of ecclesiastical hierarchy in 1853 has been eliminated.
Besides the coats of arms of the dioceses, he has also been responsible for the generation of almost all the basilica coats of arms, seals and flags. These basilica coats of arms have also been formally acknowledged by Royal Decree.
Ir Daae has not only produced the above-mentioned categories of coats of arms, he has also designed various coats of arms for newly-appointed bishops, the lower clergy, and parishes. He advised the Stadelmaier Company with regard to the conopea for basilica both at home and abroad.
For the Guild of the Holy Sacrament of Niervaert in Breda, Ir Daae not only designed the coat of arms but actually all the attributes of this Guild.
Ir Daae has published articles in various heraldry magazines and journals and is also the author of three books in the field of ecclesiastical heraldry. He is a member of various domestic and foreign her heraldic associations, and regularly visits foreign congresses of the A.I.H. (Académie Internationale d’Heraldique) in the domain of this auxiliary science.
Ir Daae has previously been invested with membership in the Order van Oranje-Nassau for his cultural contribution to this field.
