Dette er et 5-bindsverk med genealogiske data om emigranter til USA. For de fleste er det også kortfattede biografier, ordnet kronologisk. Den har navneregister ordnet på fornavn, samt litteraturliste.

- Bind 2: 1844–1846 – utgitt 1997.
- Bind 3: 1847–1848 – utgitt 2000.
- Bind 4: 1849 – utgitt 2004.
- Bind 5: 1850 – utgitt 2006.
Noen av bindene er nytrykket i 2008. Verket ble anmeldt i Norsk Slektshistorisk Tidsskrift b. 34 (1994) s. 209–210.[1].
Om forfatteren
Professor Gerhard Brandt Naeseth] (14. april 1913–10. juni 1994)[2] var en amerikansk bibliotekar og genealog som samlet et enormt materiale om norske innvandrere til Amerika. Han gjennomgikk passasjerlister i National Archives, Washington DC, og registrerte norske innvandrere som kom inn til New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore og New Orleans[3].
Naeseth gikk også gjennom hundrevis av mikrofilmruller fra de amerikanske folketellingene for å finne opplysninger om norskfødte og norskættede. Hans materiale fra 1880-tellingen i USA omfattet nesten 340 000 navn.
